This past October, the Brosville Elementary Beta Club traveled to Williamsburg, Virginia, for the Virginia Beta Leadership Summit. The annual event brings together Elementary, Junior, and Senior Beta members to compete in challenges that highlight leadership, creativity, and teamwork.

Brosville Elementary was honored to receive 10 free registrations through the John W. Harris Leadership Award, recognizing only five elementary schools nationwide. At the summit, Brosville qualified for national competition in three challenges: “All the World is a Stage,” “Being Better Betas,” and “Project Proposal.” These events encouraged students to collaborate, innovate, and lead with purpose.

The school also proudly announces that Penelope Lewis was chosen as the Beta Leadership Representative for Virginia. Penelope earned this honor after completing leadership challenges and an interview with judges, who praised her poise, thoughtful answers, and reflection on personal values. She is now eligible to compete at the national level for Leadership Ambassador and will help plan next year’s Williamsburg Leadership Summit, serving as an inspiration for other young leaders.

The summit experience was inspiring and rewarding, motivating Brosville’s Beta members to continue striving for excellence and embodying the values of leadership, character, and service.
